Since August is typically back-to-school month, I’m going to share two articles I co-wrote with another SLP and mentee, Melanie Evans. In this two-part series, we discuss ways that cultural-linguistic mismatch and systemic racism embedded in school systems and practices have disproportionately affected children of color. —Don’t worry, it’s not all bad!

We also provide SEVERAL strategies and resources that school-based clinicians can use and share with administrators to begin transforming their school’s culture into being truly inclusive and supportive for all students!
